Opi Shatter nail polish

So I bought the Opi Shatter nail polish yesterday.  My color is black shatter.  It has a pretty cool effect. I'm not in love with it, but I do like it!   From a distance my nails just look black and some nails cracked better than the others.  I do believe they have other colors so i'm going to try some of the other ones and see how those turn out. (btw I know i need to clean up the edges but they were freshly done in this pic)

Blue Smokey Eye Part 1 of 3 Elf smokey eye palette

I just bought the e.l.f. beautybook(smokeye edition).  I absolutely love it!!! First of all it's only 4.99 so let's run, not walk to Target and get this asap.  They also had a bright eyes palette and a neutral one.  I may go back and pick those up too!  Anyway it comes with 12 colors, a pencil eyeliner, and a sponge applicator.  The colors are rich and the pigments deep and true!!
For this smokey eye i used the top row in the smokey eye beautybook.
The second row is beautiful purples and the third row is grays and blacks.
Stay tuned for part 2 and 3showing the other smokey eye looks!

Easy Breezy Sunday

I normally grocery shop and run errands on sunday, but I don't want to go out looking bummy.  I think this is cute and it takes about 10 minutes.

EYES: nyx eyeshadow base(fleshtone), bare minerals matte finish foundation in golden tan all over my eyelid(jus so it is skin colored but I'm a little oily so i dont want my lids to get shiny).  Next I used my cream gel liner from maybelline eyestudio in blackest black to line along my top lash line, added faux lashes, lined lower inner rim with white eyeliner( nyx jumbo eye pencil in milk),lined lower lash linew/ bronzy brown pencil( bare essentuals charbronze)
CHEEKS: Bronze from Lorac on hollows of cheek, on apples of cheek used Sedona (Red Orange color) blush from Bare essentuals
LIPS: So Chaud (MAC matte color) lipstick
FACE: Smashbox creme to powder foundation in Dark 1
Eyebrows: Wet 'N' Wild pencil (mink brown)

Kim Kardashian inspired

I did this look the other night for my beautiful friend Erin.  She was going out and needed a HOT look.......So I did my favorite quick go to look......Kim K.  If you like this look you can recreate it too.
EYES:
I used nyx eyeshadow base(flesh tone), on top of the base i used Smashbox waterproof shadow liner duo in smolder(there are 2 colors in this a black and then a metallic goldish gray color) I used the metallic one all over her lid, then a loose eyeshadow from bare essentuals in smoky quartz(dark brown color)all over the lid and the lower lashline (drag the brown down a bit under the lashes to make it more sultry), then I lined her inner rims top and bottom with a black limitless eyeliner from smaskbox(onyx), added strip lashes and lined the top lashes with a cream liner from maybelline eyestudio in blackest black(my favorite very smooth and cheap!), used bare essentauls flawless definition volumizing mascara(jus to blend her lashes with the faux ones)
CHEEKS: Warmth from bare essentuals, highlight on top of chhekbone by Smashbox Baked Fusion Soft lights palette- illusion(from their masquerade collection fall 2010)
LIPS: Mac lipstick high tea, Mac lip gloss oyster girl
FACE: Jane Iredale pressed powder in Golden glow

My friend Jamie was so kind to let me play on her face for Mardi Gras.  It came out really colorful and fun I thought.  Totally approiate for the occassion.

Tropical Watermelon

So this is a look I did quite awhile ago..........however it is season appropriate now that spring/summer is coming.  I used my shimmer 88 palette by bh cosmetics on my eyes, for my blush I used blushrush in radiance by smashbox, on my lips I used stunning also by smashbox, and my foundation is Dark 1 by Smashbox their creme to powder finish. Oh yes and the lashes are drom the dollar store.  Love it!
